I am trying to import a pts file into a new database in Cyclone. When I right-click on the database and select "Import..." I get the following error message:
Exception Reason
Please start import until the process of clear temp container finishes
Can anyone help with a solution to this problem?

Re: Cyclone Import Error
Not sure on that one, but have you made sure that 'estimate normals' is turned off prior to importing. It's under 'edit' - 'preferences' and then 'import: compute missing normal vectors'

Re: Cyclone Import Error
Try making a small (like 25 points) pts file and import that. If that works it is probably a scratch disk issue.
You can remap your Temporary files folder to an external USB Hard drive. (or Clean up your C: Drive) This would give you enough room for the temporary import files.
Start< Programs < Leica Geosystems< Cyclone User Configuration Manager James

Re: Cyclone Import Error
This does happen from time to time, and just means that Cyclone is doing some internal cleanup, typically from having done many imports. With Cyclone launched, you will need to wait a while, then try again. It isn't possible to tell you how long since it depends on how much cleanup needs to be done, but shouldn't take too long.

Re: Cyclone Import Error
Thanks for all your suggestions. I left Cyclone on overnight and when I came in this morning I could import my file.
