Hi Mudit,

The 5010C will soon also be available in India. We also have a local reseller: Lawrence & Mayo (India) PVT. LTD., Mumbai ([email protected]). Please contact them or us directly for a quote. But I can tell you this much,... it costs less than you would expect, as we have lowered our prices recently.

Best wishes,
Chris

HDR Images from 5010c into Cyclone.
Hi Chris, I have jumped over from the P20 demo Topic,
You wrote previously " However, to answer your question, you need to create the HDR image in Z+F LaserControl. This will provide you with a normal .jpg for your scan. All software packages which can read .zfs, such as cyclone, should also be able to load that image with the scan."

Does the software create a few hundred individual JPGs, a "Multi-image" or a "Cube Map" for use in Cyclone ?

Regards,
Mike.

Hi Mike,

Z+F LaserControl will output one stitched equirectangular image, not a cube map. It will look like the examples from above. Cyclone, as well as all other software packages, which can read our file format, should read that image together with scan. It is similar to our M-Cam solution ( motor driven camera, to be mounted on top of the previous models ). Hence nothing much changes, besides the quality of the image.

Regards,
Chris

Hi Robert,

According to the spec sheet, the Z+F Imager 5010C is a little better than the Imager 5010. Thus, regarding the scanning of targets, there should not be any change in the workflow.
In general, it mainly depends what kind of targets you are using and at what resolution and data quality setting you are scanning. For large distances we recommend to only use A4 size targets with a high contrast. Have a look at the table below for more info about the recommended distances.

Regarding scanning a 300ft tower, I have seen very good, complete data up to 130-150m. However it depends on the material and the angle of incidence. Also, please use a higher data quality setting if you are scanning at such distances.

Best wishes,

Chris
