Re: New BLK 360
yes of course, I have been doing scans for 15 years ... that's not new ...
my doubts and the comparison with those who can use it because they receive it among the first, is on the reliability of the VIS and on the management of big data.
With other brands, on-site recording works for small groups of 10-20 scans, then you have to forcibly create a new job and align it in the studio. A little bad..
in this case, where the scans can also be very very fast 7 seconds, 13 seconds, 30 seconds, just over a minute (from technical scehda without photos), they will certainly generate a very large flow of data between scanner and phone, and the connection may fail or be in the situation where you are quicker to scan than to register multiple scans.
Many are curious about this new update, so whoever has it on his hands first if he can give us feedback would be kind.
good work

Re: New BLK 360
Is there any information on how level the data is? I could not see it on the webpage. We use the BLK360 for infill mostly. Great to see it getting a wired connection

Re: New BLK 360
It can now write data back to the database on the instrument the same as the RTC360.Now I wonder, does the new BLK store data onboard or is scan data still stored to the Field 360 tablet?
Yes all the information like VIS positioning, F360 adjustment and GeoTags can now be downloaded from the scanner. In other words, does transfer data off the new BLK via cable include the VIS, plus alignment and tag work done on the Field 360 tablet?
That is true.On the BLK360 G1 if you transfer from the BLK directly (instead of Field360 tablet) you only get the pile of unaligned scans...
Also trueOn the RTC360 the VIS and Field360 work is saved to the onboard USB...

Re: New BLK 360
Although it doesn't feature a real-time dual axis compenstator its levelled digitally with the IMU (like most other midrange scanners on the market).

Would like to see some data from the same space with all these settings. Scanned by an unbiased person of course!Lowa wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 8:05 am yes of course, I have been doing scans for 15 years ... that's not new ...

Surely data scanned from the same space with all the settings from any person will be the same?landmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 9:21 am Would like to see some data from the same space with all these settings. Scanned by an unbiased person of course!

I am keen to see the difference between a biased and unbiased scan using the same device...
