Using the command script for animations

Post by Zimotom »

Hi, I have been using pointools for object animation and found the scripts very useful. I can control position and rotation of the objects but wanted to know is there a way to control the density parameter of the pointcloud object from the script? I saw there is function for getting a generic parameter (getParameter("string")) could this maybe be used to control density?

Unfortunately this function is not implemented. We are looking to add a parameter for the density for the next release but currently I don’t think there is any way to do this. We are also looking at implementing these functions for the next release, ie. ControllerFrame::getCurrentParameter and ControllerFrame::setCurrentParameter

Thank you for the response. I will look forward to the new release. It is a fun and controlled way of playing with animations via script.
