Combining .POD files makes final file size huge
I have been working on a project where I have to combine multiple .pod files and export them to combine as one file. The original .pod file I have of the main scan is about 6GB and the .pod files that I am adding are less than 10MB each. After I export them all from pointools the final .pod file is 11GB! Does anyone have any insight on this issue, it does not seem right that adding only 100+MB of .pod files would increase the files .pod by 5GB.

Hi Nick, difficult to say without seeing what settings you are using.
But at a guess maybe you have set the compression too low, try the export again and set compression to 'auto'.

Dan,
Compression was set to auto with keeping 100% density. Even setting the compression to the max in the export settings doesn't change the the file size significantly (stays around 11GB).
