Will this export to Revit

Will this software export a smart model to Revit?

If not what are the available export types?

Hi Dan,

As far as I am aware it will not export a "smart" model to Revit. I have attached a table showing supported CAD formats for InovX RealityLINx Manage. You may be able to export from RealityLinx to one of the supported apps and then export from that to Revit.

You could try bringing the data into AutoCAD and then exporting to IFC. Brining the IFC file into Revit should retain the intelligence as long as the intelligence has not been lost in the first export to .dwg or .coe

It would be great to see IFC being supported by packages like Cyclone model. We could then create very accurate MEP and plant models and bring them directly into our BIM projects!

In my experience of InovX it does not export intelligence to AutoCAD and has problems actually carrying intelligence to any software without extensive mapping of the library information contained in it's models.

The only way I can see is export to CAD as basic objects and then using the basic objects to create library objects in Revit as suggested.

Has anyone tried exporting to xml? that would keep the intelligence, I don't know what the inovX database structure is like but it might be possible to write an app to map the xml schema to IFC?
