Hello,
what is the kind of point clouds that you can import in RealityLinx ?
I have pts files but it doesnt works.
I know that RealityLinx can import ptx files : what is the structure of a such file ?

I know the pts format can cause some issues. However, if you export your registered scanworld (I assume your using Cyclone) as a ptx, the point will import without difficulty.

Ah....you need the .ptc files created in Plantlinx 2.9. This is created when you import .ptx or .zfc directly into Plantlinx. Plantlinx then creates a .ptc (with the same scan name). Path RealityLinx to the proper folder to read.
Have you contacted Inovx directly?

Re: RealityLinx : problem to import points
I have problem to import data to reality linx which was described in post
http://www.laserscanning.org.uk/forum/v ... =44&t=3525
For some reason adjacent scans ave quite a substantial offset between them, probably around 10 to 20 cm, so most of the pipes and I beams are pretty hard to distinguish because there's almost always two of them one on top of the other, but one is offset so you end up with strange shapes, and the assisted modelling in RealityLinx cant interpret them correctly, not to mention it makes it difficult for me to make sense of some of the more dense parts of the structure.
Data was exported from cyclone 7.3.2 for pce application.

Offsets of point cloud data is usually due to the registration process, weather it be a lack of targets, or a bad target. You might want to look through whatever you use to register the scans, and make sure you don't have any bad targets, which might be causing the scans to pull in different directions.
What scanner, and software do you use ?..
