Hi Jason,Jason Warren wrote:It all seems to have gone very quiet with the new Topcon GLS2000? If anyone is out there using it in anger I would be interested to know more about it, especially the backsight / foresight operation to different survey prisms, and whether it can re-sect its position? Does it have a laser plummet too and a facility to be operated remotely?
Lastly, can ScanMaster do 'cloud to cloud' registrations?
Would like to know more...
As you know I've been using our pre-production model in anger since October.
You can get some nice independent reviews from here: http://www.getlaserscanning.com
The on-board software supports Survey workflows, occupation & backsight routines and resections. Very similar to how this worked for the GLS-1500 with some nice improvement tweaks.
It does have laser plummet and instrument height measurement built-in - in my view (other than scanning to survey prisms) one of the coolest features!
But if you aren't survey inclined, then the cloud to cloud registartion (see a post elsewhere on here) is a breeze to use.
Contact the guys at TGB to arrange a demo.
Only thing that we can't do right now is work remotely......
