As you will already know Topcon listens to its customers. With the GLS we gave you a site ready Terrestrial Laser Scanner, and now with the latest version of the GLS-1500 we’ve met our user requirements and given you longer range from our high performance instrument.

Key Changes:
  • Longer Range – 500m @ 90% reflectivity, 223m @ 18%
  • Increased data coverage on low reflectivity objects at shorter ranges.

Before any one else's asks. Is this a service upgrade. Firmware or only on new scanners.

Can you make the 2 sets from the roof top avalible to the forum so they can see for themselves.

Good point Steve.

Existing GLS owners can get this functionality via Service upgrade. It's standard functionality on all new units.

I'll see if I can get that particular data available.

Or failing that we can get some different data uploaded.
