Failed to Create Finalised Registration
Hi
Im trying to publish a set of scans on Register 360 but it comes up with 'Failed to create finalised Registration:Coordsystem with this name already exists' - What does this mean?

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
Are you sure this is the message? "coordsystem" is strange never seen that, but it might be "finalized registration"...
if that is the case then the solution can be read below.
It means that you already export that bundle and want to again, with the same name...
You can do 2 things
-you delete the previous deliverable by rightclick delete on a the finalized page.
-you rename the mastersitemap on the finalize page and export it again...
I always delete the deliverables after export it is just unnecessary... and it makes your project folder twice as big (because of the finalized point cloud is just a copy of the original clouds in an acceleration structure)... (of course in the 2021.X.X release you have the option to not create finalized point cloud...)

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
I have the same issue just now - this is project with 2 merged scan data.
"It means that you already export that bundle and want to again, with the same name..."
Definitely not, this is the first export, but I think it might be something with name of project.

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
is it two separate project merged together by the new "merge" furnction?
do you have UCS? if yes do you have two separated ucs with the same name? because if the error message is correct then i'd search for issues in the ucs definitions...

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
I merged two projects (no UCS) and finished registration (optimized bundle) and after this I applied control.
There is now only one project, I also renamed project. The same message.
Now I am downloading latest version of Register 2021.1.1 and will try export again (and I will try it on different computer as well)

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
have you tried without applied control? but in 2021.1.1 the control applyment issues was fixed. which was introduced in 2021.0.
there is no need to try it on another machine i don't think it would matter unless the export/reconnect feature fixes it...

Yes, you were right!
"do you have UCS? if yes do you have two separated ucs with the same name? because if the error message is correct then i'd search for issues in the ucs definitions..."
two separated UCS - I deleted one (project i merged ) and problem solved!
Thank you

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
this error should be reported but at least there is a useful error message in the end...
i hope that there is no other issues with merge projects... how does it work? i'm just curious how they did it. do they keep the original 2 project and creates a new one or there is the main project and secondary project and they merge the secondary to the main and keep the secondary as is?
i have done it previously in 2020 and i used the second approach. but i merged two project on a completelly different server database.

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
Merge is great function.
I usually have 2-3 project which I want to merge.
In project 1 I merge project 2 and project 3 (and still have project 2 and 3 as back-up)
Then I finish registration a apply control (I did this 4-5 times but never had this error before)

Re: Failed to Create Finalised Registration
it would be better if you could merge together projects from another machines, for example you import two groups on different machines and then merge them together on one of them.. i know you can archive/reconnect but it takes time... would be easier if we could work from any project found in any directory... like i said earlier forget the server database and just use versions db in the project directory.
but to merge you could do a simple project database selection as well and you are good to go...
still not gonna use the 2021 releases because of the performance degradation and waiting for fixes...
