Hi,
We've received a cyclone file with *.csf file extension, there are three files like:
filename.imp.001.csf
filename.imp.002.csf
filename.imp.003.csf
No matter what I tried I couldn't open these files. Does anyone know what is this file format and how it can be opened?
Thank you.
Bora

I believe the .csf file can be opened in Photoshop. It is a Adobe file format.

Re: Opening *.csf file format
It's actually a Cyclone imp dataset split into three smaller parts. However I couldn't find the software to merge them. Thanks for your answer btw.

Re: Opening *.csf file format
The program you need is file splitter. Harks back to the day when deliverables were on 4gig DVD's, and you had to split your files so you could send them. I have attached a version, I am not sure I am allowed to, but they no longer supply it with the newer versions.
I have had trouble in the past bringing them back with the different versions, even though the version under about is the same, it had changed from one version of cyclone to the other. The attached one is from Cyclone 6.0, so see how it goes. If not let me know, and if you have roughly the history of the imp file (i.e rough year it was created) I can probably dig out the relevant version (I have the version that ran with Cyclone 5.2 stored somewhere for this reason).
Cheers
Phill

Re: Opening *.csf file format
Phill,
Thank you for the information and exe file. As you said FileSplitter.exe can split and merge csf files, however the version you sent didn't work and gave an error as "Given block file D:\file.imp.001.csf was not created from" So I assume this was created with an earlier version. The file dates back to 2006.
Thanks.
Bora

Find attached the 5.2 version. The date on this one is Feb 2005 which roughly lines up with your date. Came up with a regedit error but seems to work fine after pressing ok.
Hope this helps. Let me know if it still doesn't work and I'll get some other ones, but it involves loading older versions on a virtual computer, so is a bit more time consuming.
Cheers

Re: Opening *.csf file format
Phill,
Thanks for the 5.2 version, it worked. Even though I worked with Cyclone so long I didn't have the setup archive. It's strange that they changed the FileSplitter with different versions of Cyclone.
Again, appreciated very much.
