Re: Outsource 3D Modeling
Hi
Not sure if this post is still live, i have a similar question, which was raised in this post as well as in the Magnasoft post.
My company is presently looking into outsourcing options for modelling scan data, understandably quality, cost and time are all important questions to ask, however I have a specific query regarding the quality component.
I would be interested in your experiences from both those who provide modelling services as well as those who have outsourced modelling work.
In general terms, what quality control systems for your modelling procedures do you provide customers and how are these quality checks documented, moreover once your customers receive the final model/product what, if any QA information is provided with the final product?
The reason for the question is that we have rigorous quality systems in place and if we do go down the path of outsourcing work, it is important that we can verify that the quality of outsourced work complies with our company standards as well as our client specifications. internal QA checks of the final product notwithstanding.
Thank you in advance.
Colin

Re: Outsource 3D Modeling
Hi everyone,
Our company provides 2D and 3D modelling services based on point cloud data. We are headquartered in Kyiv, Ukraine and work mostly for German customers. But we are growing and looking for new customers from other countries.
You can contact me by PM, and I can provide some examples of our projects.

I have tried to be in contact with seval companies in India, but is still looking for the right partner.
All the work i got back is either really bad quality or so expensive i just as well could do the work within europe.

Re: Outsource 3D Modeling
Max as well We're based in Romania, have been doing a lot of modelling and scanning work in the public sector.
So we're able to help with conversions from PCL to mesh, export it back to you in whatever format you want (FBX, STL, DAE, OBJ, etc.) - doing walkthroughs (classic FPS style or VR) - archwiz, etc.
We use Unreal Engine, Unity, Design X, Max, Lumion and TwinMotion.
Some details are in here, you can download and see a sample (PCL done using a Matterport - converted to mesh and then integrated in a FPS style walkthrough) - viewtopic.php?f=37&p=63961#p63961
PM for details.
Cheers,
