Hi everyone!
Before starting scan we usually update compass for the first scanning time. And I saw the scanner rotating a circle first before it scanned (I mean the scanner rotates for the first scanning time, I don't mention to rotation when we update the compass) . I don't know the purpose of the first rotation. Do we need to update the compass for each scan position or only for the first position?
Could everyone help me to understand these problem?
Thanks all of you so much!

Re: Update compass
No, updating the compass between scans is not necessary. Just do it once prior to your first scan. Other rotations of the scanner are for capturing inclinometer data, metering light for photographs, etc (depending on when it is spinning in the capture process).
