Pretty cool! I imagine this makes scanning with the xtion a little less tedious than usual. Also it looks like fun Thanks for sharing! Also I cannot wait to get a 3D printer so I can generate parts like that.

Yes, it is very funny I wish I had this device the time I did the scan of the staircase with SCENECT (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:42050). It would have been much easier, to hold the scanner parallel to the floor.
