Pointcloud visualization for marketing purposes

Post by soranan »

Hello LF!

What software to use for visualization of pointclouds, mixed with other objects maybe also, such as the outputs (floorplans, Bim, etc.) for marketing purposes on the website?
I see a lot of animations online, some nicer than other.

Pointcloud size can be 100MB-50GB from terrestical scans, mobile or Drone.

Show us what you are thinking, I have asked the same question, many users suggested arena 4D program.
This is not an easy task to prepare a good promo video..

We already have AEC collection, Bently Cyclone.
I know that the video can be done in above mentioned softwares, but i was hoping that i could find better solutions.

I don't know if there are applications to combine these data sets, but going for the point cloud I'd recommend:

I always struggle with this - do you purchase a whole new piece of software just to create a fancy video animation to put on your website and then hope to incorporate that new software into your workflows, meaning training costs etc? Or, do you utilise what you have currently and stick to that, creating nice stills or a basic fly through with Cyclone? Once it's weighed up, might be easier to just request someone else to do it for you if it is a one off thing

Was the exact opposite for us. We wanted to do good quality fly-through animations of point clouds and VR content. We settled on Arena4D, then realised the potential for good promo/presentation material. Having the time to create a new website is a whole different matter...

Please visit our VEESUS website http://veesus.com/veesus-arena4d-data-studio/ regarding Data Studio.

You can convert point cloud files of any size (we do have customers viewing single point cloud files over 150GB) and not limited to how many separate point cloud files either.

You can combine, panoramas, images, 3D models, measurements, mapping etc. This can be viewed in realtime VR too!

Generate high resolution videos, various fps and even stitched 360 video for viewing in VR or via 360 video players including youtube. No reason you couldn't embed them into a web page.

Feel free to email me for more information etc. [email protected].

We even have a free 14 day trial.

Cheers
