Re: Fast panoramic photos
Roundshot is good. use your own camera and lens, one button press and exports the xml files for stiching software to make the pano. Battery lasts for days. pair it with a very sturdy tripod

Re: Fast panoramic photos
The Theta Z1 is a very capable single push camera. Resolution Is ok.
If very high Res is what you want then you should use a gigapan with a high res body + long lens. It isn't quick.
For speed the Atome from 360 precision with a fisheye lens on a full frame camera is pretty quick. 30 seconds for an HDR panorama if you have the muscle memory.
All fisheye lenses will have parallax. They don't have a nodal point, for precision you need standard circular lenses.

Re: Fast panoramic photos
i own just about every 360 camera ever made.
I do like the matterport, we own about 10 and use them on finished spaces and sometimes on construction sites. You really cannot beat the interface for a client/customer. They do let you download the panoramas... but definitely understand not liking the closed system. Also the matterport software now works with the theta Z1, and it looks pretty dang good.
the nodal ninja is the best quality, with the most flexibility at a decent price. i can shoot 100 shots an hour, and the post processing is almost 100% automatic in ptgui. It can be hard to share the photos, we built some custom software for this.
If your willing to sacrifice some quality for a simpler setup, the theta Z1 is the best all-in-one 360 camera. One issue with 360 cameras is that you have to hide from every shot as they shoot all at once (whereas nodal ninja and matterport turn like a scanner).
If you want to host the photos on a floorplan, probably better off using the Z1 (or similar) and connect with a phone via structionsite/holobuilder/openspace.ai

Re: Fast panoramic photos
so the overall panoramas can be stored locally? what about individual pics? can you blur faces in their interface?tbwester wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:28 pm i own just about every 360 camera ever made.

Once the tour is created and uploaded, you can download each pano as a JPG in the editor.landmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 5:56 pmso the overall panoramas can be stored locally? what about individual pics? can you blur faces in their interface?tbwester wrote: ↑Tue Nov 19, 2019 4:28 pm i own just about every 360 camera ever made.

Yes, there is an automated face blur - you can turn it on or off.

Re: Fast panoramic photos
WeissAG has a nice system as well. The Civetta delivers very high quality images. Also distance measurement by taking two images from the same position (different height). They also provide a Visual Asset Management tool. (VAM2)

Xphase Pro with 100MP camera and Cupix, here's an example: https://players.cupix.com/p/yZLwkObJ.
Or you could just use the Ricoh Theta Z1 which takes a nice HDR pice, here's a comparison: http://players.cupix.com/s/dq2uGSp4.html
For the silky smooth walkthrough with automatic alignment and coordination with Revit/Navis/BIM, use Cupix.
