I agree. will be similar to the focus 120, just another step up.3DForensics wrote: I can't read the future, but I think we may be onto another big disruption, much like the one that happened with the release of the Focus. Well done Leica.

Re: BLK360 wow new Leica/Autodesk scanner
If I can add my 2 cents in the end, BLK360 laser scanner seems to be a very good for internal scanning.
Outside we need still massive good scanner something like C10/P40.
Anyway this scanner more similar now to 'small scanner from Prometheus movie';).
cheers

I agree that the BLK360 will be a great addition to scan buildings with. Small, lightweight will make it easy to set in tight spaces. Having one or two in your arsenal, perhaps along with a good hand scanner will help to cover most situations you may run into.

Re: BLK360 wow new Leica/Autodesk scanner
One of my colleagues mentioned a "Swarm" field work-flow with multiple scanning devices. One P-series and a load of BLK360's all playing nicely...Still lots to consider regarding the workflows.
Will be interesting to understanding if one IPad Pro with the Recap 360 Pro App could control multiple devices... either individually or (perhaps eventually) concurrently.
For all HDS Users attending our event on Thursday in the UK, this will be your first chance to see the unit (unless you were lucky enough to attend AU).

- 1kg
- bloody tiny
- onboard storage?
- a 40" IMU
- not _that_ expensive (that you can't crash the odd one here and there)
- IP rated
- robust body design
So I'll just leave this MOCK UP .. I repeat this is just me crystal ball gazing .. here. Mind. Blown.
Like it ;o)

Re: BLK360 wow new Leica/Autodesk scanner
Does anyone know if it's possible to get data directly from the scanner to a laptop running recap with using an iPad?
My laptop sees the wifi network generated by the scanner and does connect.
thanks

Sorry but direct transfer from BLK to ReCap Pro (non-Mobile) is not supported at this time.

Re: BLK360 wow new Leica/Autodesk scanner
Hi, I just tested BLK 360 with some Leica guys. We did scan with high resolution then import to Cyclone ('cause they only have Cyclone to import BLK data) But for some reason, we cannot export BLK's data to PTX or E57 or any other.
Does anyone here know how to export BLK's data from Cyclone?

Re: BLK360 wow new Leica/Autodesk scanner
You can only IMPORT BLK360 data into Cyclone, not export it. You can export it in most pointcloud formats available from within Cyclone export menu.phamduysc wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2017 3:50 am Hi, I just tested BLK 360 with some Leica guys.
