Homemade handheld scanner

I stumbled on this video, building a hand held scanner from a autonomous vacuum cleaner, if they do manage to build a drone with collision avoidance I will give them a gold star.

so basically this dude has just created a ZEb from a vacuum cleaner and an arduino....anyone else feeling just a little bit ripped off when they think about how much they have paid for their scanner? :lol: :lol:
