'Nother two thumbs up for a PolyWorks section. We have used it literally everyday for over 10 years in amazing ways for a wide variety of projects, types of scan data, and end use results. For one we haven't found a better cloud to cloud alignment (registration) tool.

I'm surprised there is no Polyworks section as well. Ditto re best C2C process out there as well as how many things it can tackle.

Agreed, it's unfortunate that they haven't had more success with the types of users who frequent this forum, but they also haven't ever really committed significant development resources to meeting our needs. PolyWorks is the core of our pipeline but the bigger our projects get the more problems we have with its scalability. It's just not designed for dealing with hundreds of tripod lidar scans.

The email below was in my mailbox this morning. Given that Surveyor pretty much disappeared from their website a couple years ago and has never really received any development focus it doesn't surprise me. Should I feel old that I've been a user long enough to see the introduction and retirement of Surveyor?
Dear PolyWorks|Surveyor™ Customer,

Due to changes in our product line, PolyWorks® 2016 will no longer offer the PolyWorks|Surveyor package. In consequence, PolyWorks 2015 and its intermediate releases will be the last versions to include the PolyWorks|Surveyor package.

PolyWorks|Surveyor customers under a valid support/maintenance contract on April 1st, 2016 will be offered a free upgrade to the PolyWorks|Inspector Standard package, a package that offers all of the PolyWorks|Surveyor functionalities and more. Please note that when your support/maintenance contract expires, your contract renewal will be for PolyWorks|Inspector Standard.

Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Hi - So if people using POLYWORKS don't frequent this forum - Does anyone know were they do discuss problems / solutions / ideas etc.

Would be good to know - as everyone above says its a mainstay of my workflow. But I have had to train myself on every aspect of this package. Everyday I find a new trick or tool. Insanely, complex and powerful.

They recon they have over 10,000 users - well I know 1 or maybe 2 - were are the rest ? Not bloody down here in New Zealand that's for sure.
Keen to talk to anyone I maybe can help or that can help me.
My Skype Handle - is novamech5 - if you would like to ask a question or swap ideas.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for our absence here, but behind the scenes we have been migrating LSF to a new server. Things look settled now and Phil has been going through his "todo" list, and we are pleased to say there is now a dedicated Polyworks Section for you.
Again our apologies for the delay.
