Re: Polyworks
I have started to use polyworks and find the lack of forums and information amazing. There seems to be very few places to discuss polyworks problems.
If you can help I am trying to unfurl (unroll) a large scan I did of a cylindrical structure about 130ft dia, to put in a report. Can polyworks do this?
Thanks
Steve

Re: Polyworks
For a "Laser Scanning" Forum I would have thought Polyworks to be on herethecoot wrote:Any reason there isn't a Innovmetric Polyworks section here ?

Re: Polyworks
We are also regular users of Polyworks for heritage documentation, and would benefit from a dedicated section.

Re: Polyworks
Agree, with a user base in the tens of thousands a dedicated Polyworks section would be a great addition to the forum. However I've asked the mods via PM a couple of times over the years for a dedicated section with no response so don't hold your breath. I'm sure i'm not the first to have asked.
Polyworks is such a powerful tool for dealing with any type of scan data from both terrestrial and metrology based systems and there's nothing like it for performing some pretty serious data analysis. Also, if it doesn't do what you want out of the box you can easily customise it by scripting.
