Pharmaceutical Orthophoto

Post by boxel0 »

A recent project we scanned, for a pharmaceutical firm the project will later be converted into a Plant 3D model

I cropped the buildings walls out using clipping boxes and then took the orthophoto, which i am quite please with :D

Looks good Lewis. I wonder if clear view would create an interesting effect as well.

That's really cool. Is that straight out of Scene? I haven't been able to achieve anything other than a mess with a large number of scans.

Could you share some more details? Number of scans? Orthophoto settings?

Did you create a project-point cloud and use that for visualization?

Hi Guys, Thanks for the positive replies,

Yes the project was created into a pointcloud, I then created a clipping box tight enough so that it clipped out the walls and un-necessary detail, the created the orthophoto @1920x2560,

I will try and have a go at using clearview later on today

Nice image and nice quality.. I would love to see the clearview, and maybe a black on white bg representation, or a green on black bg with clearview transparency.

I want to do a similar thing to the jail I work at we have 3 main floors of cells with a lower level and mezzanine of each level.. the problem is that I have way too many individual scene files that are not aligned to eachother to pull this off in scene, but maybe in autocad?

Is there a clever way of displaying hi-res images on here?

I did. I know my workflow is correct but I've found sometimes it looks great on screen but the orthophoto is terrible, and I just resort to a print screen! I wondered in some cases if too many scans was the issue, but seeing this image I know it must be possible. I think I'm not getting the settings right and need to persevere.
