Intrinsically Safe Scanner for Rent

Post by jayscanlon »

Hello,
Does anyone have or know where I might be able to rent a Z&F Intrinsically Safe Scanner? The place I usually rent from has told me the 2 units that were in the Z&F fleet have been taken out of service and the new one that they manufacturing won't be ready until the end of the year.

The project I need it for is scheduled for the week of June 11th. Not a deal killer if it can't happen that week.

Thank you in advance for any leads you may have.

Jay

I am not sure about your circumstances, but I often get into a situation where they required IS unit, but I ask for an exemption and I usually get it.

But unfortunately, the 5010C isn't EXPLOSION PROOF. The 5006EX is pretty crazy looking, looks like a Z+F unit on steroids.

Wow, I won’t even ask why you need something explosion proof, but that’s crazy looking, good luck! Have you already reached out to Juergen at the Z+F office in PA? I’m sure he could point you in the right direction.
