Hi Peyman,
What kind of tripod are you using ? The second image with the yellow tripod (is it a crane ?) what is the maximum height does it stay stable at for scanning purpose ? Thank you.

I just use HDR images just in the few scans like the attached. There are different resolution used in this job. Normal res took only 1.30 min and the high res only 3.30 minutes. Taking HDR image would add about 3.30 minutes to each scan regardless of the scan resolution.

This looks great! So the cloud registration is all done on site in real time as the work is carried out AND you are able to export straight to RECAP? I spend hours exporting data, which I then have to import to RECAP!
Do you just verify the C2C when you're back in the office, or does the workflow allow for some checking in real time, maybe with some targets to be scanned and verified against control in real time?

@Jamesrye,
The Scout software is working as a 2nd carry on ZFC, you have access to all of the options in the desk top application. You can check the registration on site and refine it by additional scans or picking targets or extra points as target. You can filtered and export Recap or any other required format on site as well.
The HDR imagery is really improved both in timing and the quality

@steves01x,
In my case the tablet is good for 3-4 hours. It happened that during the scanning the tablet run out of juice and we have the same problem of maintain the connection to download the data from scanner. In some cases that I didn't have the dongle with me,I had to leave the scanner on to be able to manually register the cloud while I could charge the tablet.
But I quote it from our support team that there are tablets that already tested with ZF5016 and work for 8-10 hours:
"There are options on the battery life of the tablet, most recently we have added the ToughBook to the bundle and this tablet is ruggedized and comes with a hot-swappable battery.
Scanning for 8 - 10 hours is achievable for both the tablet and the scanner."

Re: 136 scans in a day
Thanks for the info - it does seem to be one of the best all round scanners on the market. For me a lot of jobs/locations i scan i can see the tablet being a hindrance but for many smaller jobs it would be ideal!
The image quality from the scanner in the time of 3:30 minutes looks very impressive.
Once you have the completed project on the tablet, do you then transfer over to the PC for final QC then export to your chosen format?

Re: 136 scans in a day
i've had some representatives demonstrated the 5016x and was not impressed with the on-site registration. I found it tedious and time consuming. receeiving the data through wifi took time so we waited at the next position to have it uploaded to continu with the scanning.
For the record : i've bought a vz400i and done some 200+ scans with color done within the same day and registration afterwards. The speed of this cannot be beaten by any instrument i think. Every scan 1,5 minutes with hd-imagery (not affiliated with reigl but satisfied customer).

@steves01x,
You can finish and check the QC of the project either on the tablet or later on the desktop software. The tablet and the scanner are on 2 way communication, and the job will be updated on the scanner. There is a SD card on the scanner that you can copy the job on it or copy the one on the tablet and check it later.
