Z+F IMAGER 5016-NEW SCANNER
For those that did not see my note under the InterGeo 2016 thread
A new Z+F scanner, the Imager 5016, was announced today by Z+F and will be seen at InterGeo 2016 exhibition here in Hamburg, Germany.
Some of the important features:
Small size and weight, 6.5 kg
Double 5010X range, 360 meter
Large, 5.7 inch touch screen
30% smaller than 5010X
128GB internal storage
64GB SD card
smaller, hot swappable batteries
Better noise levels
Integrated LED lighting for integrated camera, I-CAM, HDR images in total darkness. This is one of the best advances in the design of scanners that I have seen so far if you are interested in high quality color scans without
accessory lighting in total darkness at 10 meters.
Delivery estimated in Q1 2017

Re: Z+F IMAGER 5016-NEW SCANNER
I love the continued miniaturization we're seeing by various vendors. It's also great that the batteries are hot-swappable.

Re: Z+F IMAGER 5016-NEW SCANNER
Interesting.
Does anyone know how this fits with the existing product line?
I'm assuming this is at a lower price point (so a X330 rival?) rather than a replacement for the 5010X?
Does this work with scout?
Richard.

Re: Z+F IMAGER 5016-NEW SCANNER
Z&F always leading the pack. Nice to see a Company consistently advancing their product and not repackaging the same thing year after year.
Can't wait to get one.

Nice design guys...That looks really slick! Can't wait to see it at the IAFSM in Orlando this November. With all the new equipment coming out it's starting to look like we'll have our own Intergeo in Florida

Re: Z+F IMAGER 5016-NEW SCANNER
I am not a Z+F salesperson or a Z+F Reseller, but the above listed information was given to me by Z+F people here at InterGeo 2016. It is my understanding that the Imager 5016 is a replacement for the 5010X and it will use V9 LRC and Scout when the 5016 is delivered in Q1 2017.
It is also my understanding that if you order a 5016 today, you will receive and use a 5010X until the 5016 arrives in Q1 2017, when the 5010x will be returned for the 5016. Just figure it as smaller, significantly improved version of the 5010X. From what I see, if you have a 5010X like we do, training will be minimal and you can take it on airlines as hand carry luggage with batteries and case. The 5010X we have has had recent problems with some airlines.
Please confirm all the information that I have provided with your friendly Z+F sales person or Reseller, although most of them are here in Hamburg, Germany for InterGeo 2016 so it might be difficult to contact them until next week.
