Battery stuck on Faro Focus3D X 330

Post by VincentVerhoeven »

Hello everyone. I have a bit of an awkward problem with the scanner I was borrowing at work. I recharged the battery and went to put it back in, but it wouldn't go further than ~90% of the way there and also doesn't go back out (regardless of whether the eject button is pushed up or not whilst pushing/pulling on it).
Does anyone know what the solution might be and what I may have done wrong?
Thank you for your time.

I think you may have the battery 180 degrees off. Hopefully you can get it extracted!

A large pair of channel locks should do the trick. Don't apply to much pressure.

Well that was a bit of a dumb mistake. Figured the sticker on it would be legible the right way up.
Tried the channel lock pliers, but it wasn't sticking out far enough to get a good grip on the battery.
Fortunately I also brought some flat head screwdrivers and I could push it out by pressing against the little cut-out on the top of the battery.
