Hi Forum,
I'm not quite sure if this is the correct forum to post this. It might need to be posted in the Leica section.
But I've got the following problem:
Fatal error creating webshare data.
This is at the moment my workflow:
I export the cyclone 360 to an E57. The E57 is imported in Scene (6.2). However it crashes after i want to export it to webshare data.
Since the above doesn't work i've tried the following (and it worked once): Register360 -> export to ptx -> import Recap -> export rcp -> Import into Scene.
However this isn't working anymore. Now my question is: Is anyone else experiencing the same? If so how did you fix this problem?
I have searched around the forum (the leica and faro one) however i haven't found anything that helps.
*edit*:
I've managed to make the webshare data, however the scans appear to be blank (no data is visible in the panoramic view or the 3D view). There is an overlay map.
I've got this result with the following methods:
1. Cyclone classic -> export to e57 ->import e57 into Scene -> create webshare data (scan overlay isn't on)
2. Cyclone classic -> export to e57 -> import e57 into Scen -> create webshare data (scan overlay is on)
So far i've got no positive results here is the table:
Cyclone: Recap: Does it work in Scene?:
E57 E57 Fatal error when creating Data
PTS E57 Fatal error when creating Data
PTX E57 Fatal error when creating Data
PTS Not used Does not work
PTX Not used W2GO (and online) No visual data in panoramic or 3D view
E57 Not used W2GO (and online) No visual data in panoramic or 3D view
So I'm kinda at the end of my options. Does anyone else know any other solutions?
Kind regards,
Niels

Unfortunately, I've never even found a solution to get as far as you had. There's always something wrong with images or rendering in the tests I ran. Has anything changed for you since October?

Hi Niels,
I'm not sure exactly what your use case is, but for an alternative online 3D viewing experience that directly imports .e57 files you can take a look at 3DUserNet. It might provide what you need, and take away some of the file conversion headache at the same time
P.S We also have a special offer at the moment that you can take advantage of too.
Thanks,
Dave

Re: Webshare cloud export (register 360 to Scene)
When we demoed an RTC360, we just had our rep send us an LGS file and opened it with the portable jetstream viewer. It is easy to use and our clients liked it just as much as the webshare.
