Re: Faro Focus Swift
Is there anything new regarding the new stand alone As-built modeler, any news when it is going to be out, also does it work inside Faro Scene

Re: Faro Focus Swift & AsBuilt Modeler
Similar to FAROSwift the company will provide updates on the landing page as we learn more https://solutions.faro.com/latest-for-aec/ so its recommended to sign-up. Yes, it does work on the same engine as FARO SCENE so no need for lengthy imports before starting work. It is a separate product with the look and feel of SCENE (with the added bonus of a built-in CAD kernel). More to come!

Re: Faro Focus Swift & AsBuilt Modeler
This is a totally different product. FARO currently offers the Autodesk plug-ins AsBuilt for AutoCAD and AsBuilt for Revit which work with the native Autodesk RCP engine. FARO will continue to support and enhance these plug-ins.
We will now introduce the standalone AsBuilt Modeler. This is based on the SCENE point cloud engine, has the look and feel of SCENE but with a modeling engine built-in. Users can immediately begin extracting value from point clouds directly after registration while avoiding import/export to other formats.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
Thanks for the info Scott, I am looking forward to working with this software. I hope they have some sort of a deal for the companies who invested in a previous As-built product.

Re: Faro Focus Swift
Scott,
it was mentioned that the swift is very accurate compare to other slam systems out there, in numbers how accurate is the unit and when can we start examining some data, also how someone can go about upgrading the units we have?
