Overview Map per floor?
is there anyway to get an overview map for Webshare/Scene2go that has a drop down to display Overview maps per floor or elevation?( i swear about 6 years ago this was done on a project i viewed on a webshare server when i worked for another company)
i know i can create seperate projects for each cluster (which each has its own overview map) and export each of those (although i havent done it yet)
in the export webshare data dialogue it asks if you want to create "multi layer map" and "layout plans"...but i dont see that these are what i am looking for as it still represents with the one overview map in scene 2 go.
just wondering if there is something i am missing before i go the long way round.

Re: Overview Map per floor?
If you have organised your floors as clusters, In Scene 2019.0 you can create a layout plan per cluster and then export these as individual layers in addition to the Default map layer that includes all data.
Right click on a cluster -> new -> layout plan.
Right click on a cluster -> new -> layout plan.

Re: Overview Map per floor?
This project has an additional layout plan. It comes into webshare as a separate layer in the overview map:
https://websharecloud.com/?v=om&t=p:def ... rtment-mep
In the map view click on the cog icon (bottom left) and then open the layer settings. You will notice that there are two layers. This could be 3,4,5+ depending on how many layoutplans you export from SCENE.
The icon above the layer settings will bring up a small window to show a scan view in addition to the map (can also be done in scan view to show the map). This window also gives you some controls to adjust it to your needs. It is fully functional, you can even go to 3d mode.
Edit: here is the link to the documentation:

Re: Overview Map per floor?
this is so close to what i need.
the only missing thing is to show only those scans that pertain to each level.
thanks for the reply Daniel

Re: Overview Map per floor?
If you would like to apply something similar to scan positions, try to categorize them or tag them (project manager access needed!). Afterwards you can use the filter panel in the top left corner to narrow down per floor for example.

Re: Overview Map per floor?
interesting. so in the example you sent a link to, are the filters not applied to anything?
toggling them doesnt seem to change the view at all

John
We use websharecloud and use this function all of the time to provide added benefits for Clients.
The attached image shows how we have categorized the scans based upon floor locations and can easily turn on/off the various scan positions based upon this filter.
The layout plans are also available for each floor of the building and can be selected/blended to suit and easily created in Scene as Daniel described.
You will also see annotations that we have added with hyperlinks to high definition 360 panos which directs the user to a photo of those photos.
and finally we have added a section location annotation to indicate where a 2d section drawing was taken so that users can navigate to the scans that fall along this line of interest.
