Scanning under railway bridge

Post by sommer »

Hello everyone,

I have a project coming up which is scanning an office space located in an archway under a railway bridge.
I don't know yet if there will be vibrations from trains going over and if so how strong. I would however like to ask, if any of you have already had similar projects and tips or strategies. Like better do several really short scans or fewer with high quality (so points get checked several times)?
Any feedback is appreciated.

Best, Steffen

Without seeing any project details, it appears on the surface like the question you've asked is the same that would apply to every job- What is it you need to get out of it? What is the purpose of the survey?

I have a few others which would help people give you advice...
Are you experienced with scanning surveying/ point cloud processing?
What equipment do you have/propose to use?
How congested is the area?
