Number of returns on X7 scanner

Post by Scrubaducky »

Hi folks,

I can't find any documentation on Trimble's website around the number of returns their X7 scanner has. I'm particularly interested in using this equipment for landscape site documentation so penetration of vegetation to some degree is important to capturing the spatial qualities and measurements.

Any insight is hugely appreciated.

Cesar Almeida from Korec would be a good person to talk to here.

It has 1 return per point.

Iv been a user of X7 for many years and can testify that it can not penetrate thick vegetation.

I think you might want to look at Riegl scanners.
