Trimble Scanning Failure!

Post by Rahul Reghu »

Hi All,

We have a Trimble TX-8 Laser scanner from 2019 itself and used the instrument for different projects in the AEC industry.
Since the purchase there was a slight problem that first scans everyday didn’t get well like the scanner stops measuring at 80%.
Then it slowly changed to the whole scan getting affected. Now even after doing 15+ scans it's still not scanning properly.

I have checked with the diagnosis of the last scan from the maintenance option, and see 3 options failing (Measurement consistency always fails at first).

Vertical motor
Zero detected OK
Initialized OK
Motor movement OK
Motor consistency OK
Measurement via FPGA FAIL
Measurement consistency FAIL
Linearity activated YES
Linearity consistency FAIL
Speed lock off at start OK
Speed lock OK
Speed consistency OK
Time to lock 4.5
