Re: Introducing Trimble X7 Scanning System
Now I've taken the time to read up on this scanner, it looks like a real game changer.
It's quick, the data is accurately levelled, it's light and portable. Add me to the chorus of voices wanting to look at some sample data!

Re: Introducing Trimble X7 Scanning System
Hello Chris,
I was wondering if the X7 has infra-red capabilities? Some of the pictures do look like infra-red but I'm just making sure. Also how well does the IMU function in low light conditions?
Thanks Chris

Re: Introducing Trimble X7 Scanning System
Hi Phil
The light conditions will not change the IMU/registration, it will work in the dark just as well (it is not using any cameras for registration - just IMU info, principally for orientation).
Infra-red do you mean? - no it is not working like this. If I've got this right.
Thanks
Chris

Re: Introducing Trimble X7 Scanning System
Hi Marco
I believe so yes, I don't know Scene very well anymore but I believe it accepts E57, LAS...?
You can export the registered cloud from the field in these formats and several others (RCP, POD, PTX, TZF etc..)
