Cyclone Shortcut key set
I am trying to use Cyclone shortcut key to speed up my post-processing in Cyclone. I am not happy with the shortcut key set that I created.
Did anyone created a set of Cyclone shortcut key set that they are happy with? If so, could you post it.
Many thanks,
Kin

Kin
I guess every person has their own shortcuts depending on what they do. My main current ones are
1- Single pick mode
2- Double pick mode
3- View mode
5- Seek mode
(you end up leaving you left hand over the numbers near the esc key)
F- Polygonal Fence mide
G- Select points inside a fence
L- Line from pick points
And then I uses shifts for inserting objects
Shift O insert cylinder
Shift [ insert channel
Shift T insert T
Shift H insert wide flange
Shift L insert Angle
Shift E insert elbow
Some of those are also set to fit to cloud without the shift
for eg I press F G H to fit a wide flange to a cloud or F G O to fit a cylinder to a cloud.
As you can see, I have had far to much time to think about it. The guy who sits next to me uses L to turn the limt box on and off and 4 for seek mode.
Cheers

Re: Cyclone Shortcut key set
x = seek mode
z = pick view toggle ( i use pick rather than multi pick and hold shift to multi pick, Multi pick didn't exist when I was trained
e = scan world explorer
f = polygonal fence
s = set selectable
ctrl + A =select all
shift + A = align xyz axis (great for setting the limit box square to grid once you have created it.
h= hide cloud
Shift + m = move/rotate
t= top view
o = orthographic view
r = add edit registration label
g = turns global color map on and off.
shift + f select fence
If I find myself doing anything repetative I will make a short cut for it even if it is just for that one job. so I might use the function keys to creat a sort of macro.

shift - d = select points in fence
shift - s = hide unselected points
shift - a = unhide all
useful for quickly hiding unwated sections!

Re: Cyclone Shortcut key set
I really should get round to using shortcuts, im just too used to using the icons and drop down menus. I model around 350 objects a day in Cyclone and I wonder if I can get that to 500 a day with shortcuts.
If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

Re: Cyclone Shortcut key set
Hi guys,
I am also trying to customize shortcust.Among other I would like a shortcut for polygonal fence mode.
It's too stupid, but in the list I can't find "polygonal fence". In which submenu is it ? THank you !!

Re: Cyclone Shortcut key set
In the Navigator window (or any other window with the toolbar), on the toolbar go to Edit > Customize Hotkeys > In categories (left hand box) pick Edit (that's the toolbar dropdown in which the command you are looking to hotkey is in) > in the right hand box scroll until you see Modes:.... until you see Modes:Polygon Fence Mode
set the key under "pres hotkey" and remember to assign it
PM for my shortcut XML file
Below is my hotkeys listed in Excel. I have made a few scripts that automate a few processes (auto close the "do you want to group scans" after visual alignment) and also the 2D thumbnail window has no hotkey options, so made script that do it for me (although they may not/probably wont work well on other machines).

Thank youuuuuu Finally ! I spent some time looking for "polygon fence mode" and could not find it. Too bad there is no search function.

Re: Cyclone Shortcut key set
Anyone else use a wacky mouse? Having a full numpad on the mouse makes for quick work with custom shortcuts and macros.
My Razer Naga is still going strong after 5 years, i know I've saved countless keystrokes and menu searching having so many buttons on the mouse.
