Open TVG Files
I have a number of TVG files that were published back in 2018 when we were still using TruView Enterprise. Is there a way to open these files without the legacy software? I only have REG360 installed on my laptop at the moment. My goal is to get a simple scan count from these TVGs so I know how many scan positions to purchase to host on our TruView Cloud server.

Re: Open TVG Files
Pretty sure you can change the file extension from .TVG to .ZIP and open it with 7zip.
Gotta think out side the box Chris

it is not always the case (especially with leica) but worth a try... that was my first though as well... But i didn't want to write it if i don't have an example to check it out.Scott.Warren wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 5:57 pm Pretty sure you can change the file extension from .TVG to .ZIP and open it with 7zip.

maybe you the extension can be .tar.gz, .tar,zip,.rar, etc other compressed formats as well. Or there is a zip inside the tvg after a few character special header/footer/separator.

Re: Open TVG Files
Just tried it with one of my old TVG's and opened fine after the extension name change to zip. Your mileage may vary.

Re: Open TVG Files
I already had WinZip installed which worked just fine (obviously). Thanks Scott!
