Importing P40 Data
Just realised that to import some P40 data (hire scanner) that I had to install the latest version of Cyclone. I was running 9.1.3 and now on 9.1.4 (must be new firmware on the scanner) - Why not do a patch rather than a whole install...
Now just have a nap for a couple of hours while 10Gb of data imports to Cyclone...

If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

Re: Importing P40 Data
Matt,
I've had no issues with the P40 with either 9.1.3 or 9.1.4 until I installed the latest upgrade to the P40. I quit liking 9.1.3 but works perfectly in 9.1.4.

Re: Importing P40 Data
Matt,
This has always been the case with firmware upgrades.
Why aren't you running 9.1.4 anyway?

Re: Importing P40 Data
I was forced to install 9.1.4 or leave the data as RAW and not use it. It was the only way it would import. I don't generally update things on a daily basis, just when I am forced to.SCCS HDS wrote:Matt,

Re: Importing P40 Data
Hi all,
I am currently having some major issues with importing scans with the leica p40 scanner!! the errors range from cant serialize stream to illegal url to irrecoverable error please restart. I have used cyclone for a few years now and ive never seen a failure to import happen so many times on a machine. I am running it as administrator and im using the smart align feature. Sometimes the import with go right through until the add by time function get to 100% then say failure to import database, other times it will only reach 20% then show an error.
Does anybody know if an port fails what files are left behind in the database and can they be removed? can they cause problems for future imports into that database? I have just created a new database and trying that approach. It is a very frustrating exercise continuously seeing errors. The datasets are only small around 20-30 scans. I dont know whether the smart align could be causing issues.
Another error i have just incurred was one referencing reg.cyclone.bat , and the run this but after that it said cyzfc error during that process. I am aware it could be a software problem and a reinstall might be adviseable but i have done this recently.
Any advice on failed imports would be greatly appreciated.
Jay

Re: Importing P40 Data
Please check you're not working on the 'shared' server option.
Does ytou company run virtual desktops?
Are you running Cyclone 9.1.5?
What anti-virus are you running?
Maybe time for a clean re-install i.e. clean the all the register items once removed.
