It depens on LaserScan Package. If you have adjustment function, you have Scantra.landmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Thu Dec 05, 2019 1:21 pm Is scantra included with luposcan? Damn, i've been running this for several years without knowing!

Re: Scantra
Before version 9.x it was Professional and Professional PLUS versions. Professional had Scantra Point-to-Point module, Professional PLUS had Scantra Cloud-to-cloud module.landmeterbeuckx wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 6:43 amI have the pro version, full package.Alexander Freydin wrote: ↑Fri Dec 06, 2019 6:26 amIt depens on LaserScan Package. Now in version 9.x it both Scantra modules are optional.
Depens on your version you can use corresponding module for adjustment.
Anyway try to check your license in "Options..."->"License"

Re: Scantra
Dear colleagues,
I usually try NOT to speak about our product in this forum yet I have to clarify some remarks:
- Luposcan: We work closely with our mates from Lupos3D and hence have a license to import and update their *.lps point clouds. We have many common clients that use Luposcan and Scantra side to side - yet, Scantra is not integrated in Luposcan (in the sense that you click a button in Luposcan and Scantra pops up - I think that was a misinterpretation of the word "integration").
- fls-files: The vast majority of TLS manufacturers erect large fences to lock their clients into their "eco-system". As for Faro, we're at least allowed to import their data but we're not allowed to export the transformation parameters back in to the files.
If you rely on getting back to fls or fws then there is a third party solution from a Faro reseller called Scantaxi in Berlin https://www.scantaxi.de/software.html#PAH. The other option is to import fls and export E57 in Scantra or export E57 out of Scene and then import this data into Scantra. The latter solution has two advantages: i) access to the data is a lot quicker and ii) you can smoothly apply the transformation parameters for thousands scans within a few seconds by simply updating the E57-header in contrast to export a twin of the original point cloud with different coordinates.
@ Shane: fls-files are compressed. Hence, whenever you have to access the point cloud, decompressing is your very first task. For this, we use the standard Faro library since fls is not a public format. Long story short: we cannot increase the speed of importing data.
Our algorithm is based on detected planes that are identified as a first step. Typically you access the point cloud exactly once and move on a lot faster since you're then using a parametric description of the geometric content. The general cascading principle that we follow is: shitloads of points -> loads of planes that are described by 4 parameters (+ stochastic values / precision of individual planes) -> one set of transformation parameters per scan pair.
- Z+F LaserControl: Correct - you can optionally purchase Scantra under LaserControl but you can also import and update their data in our standalone version.
@ Eric: we can import and process any kind of pre-registration regardless if this information comes from sensors (Z+F IMAGER 5010x, IMAGER 5016, Leica RTC,...) or external registration software. We retrieve this information from the header of lps, E57, fls and zfs-files which can then be used to determine adjacencies among scans.
I hope that helps (at least a bit)
All the best
