Don't forget Recap.
Pros:
-lowest cost
-very fast workflow for small projects
-quick and easy cleaning up of unwanted points
-Autodesk product, outputs by default rcp clouds that are used in Autocad and Revit
Cons:
-user has less control over registration than in other software. You basically just have to accept what you get.

We are using Recap for small indoor projects (upto 100 scans).
For larger projects we use Trimble Realworks. Originally we went for Realworks because we occasionally use Trimble scanners, and have even mixed Trimble Tx8 and Faro M70 scans in the same project. In my opinion Realworks is by far better and more reliable of the two, but the workflow is considerably slower, and it is more expensive (Base version costs about the same as Scene).

Depends what you are using it for. We scan a lot of apartments to find out the floor area according to building standards. There Recap is quite handy because of the speed. But if you measure a construction site in order to get an accurate as-built model, you will want to use something else.
Recap registers quite well most of the time but we have seen two problems with it:
1. Occasionally you have a problematic scan with poor overlap to neighbours, large mirrors, or a nearby door that has moved a little between scans. There Recap may get seriously wrong and it refuses to align the scan right. You cannot force manual alignment.
2. Long loop closure. Sometimes you get perfect results, sometimes not, and there is very little you can do about it.
