Cyclone Training Course
Does anyone have any comments regarding the 4 day Leica training course for Cyclone (i.e. synopsis, agenda etc). Is it informative enough (4 days!) or is it not worth the money?

Hi Andy,
Please see the link below...
I think its well worth attending if you're interested in running your own Leica scanner. Let me know if you're interested as we can book people onto this course.
Thanks,
Phil

Re: Cyclone Training Course
Bizarrely, I've now done this course twice in the last 10yrs and on both occasions they were about 10-12 people on at the same time.
Each person gets a PC to process the data and there's always more than one scanner there to play with.
P.S. I've just added another PDF to the above.

Re: Cyclone Training Course
Just to Correct Phil the training is given to up to a maximum of 8 students, occasionally there can be up to 10 when the additional people are either internal sales staff or new staff from our dealers as they will be using there own laptops/software and tend to be in and out of the training during the week.SCCS HDS wrote:Bizarrely, I've now done this course twice in the last 10yrs and on both occasions they were about 10-12 people on at the same time.

Re: Cyclone Training Course
Andy,
The Leica Training course is very good. Our company just had 7 go through it. Two of us were experienced so we tweaked the course to our needs. We didn't need to go through setting up the scanner or process. If you have some experience and only your company is involved, then you can do this. At least here in the USA, but I would think Phil could tell you more. The course teaches you a fair amount of the tricks for Cyclone. We found the cost to be well worth it.

Andy,
Also wanted to say that the HxGN Live conference has a HDS track and you can learn a lot there. On Monday are several classes that have a nominal fee that can give you a lot of help. The conference is in June in Anaheim, CA., USA
