Hi everybody,
I just saw an online store called "Directsurveystore", selling Faro X130 for 14250 USD, and X330 for 18350 USD.
I'm wondering if this is really honest. They are located in Indonesia.
Did anybody have an experience with them?

Re: Direct Survey Store
Hi everyone,
I would like to make you aware that I believe this website and a number of others I have been made aware of are potential scams.
Quite a number of the images on this website and others are copied from our website, twitter feeds etc. I have had a customer who tried to purchase a Faro Scanner from a website similar to this and lost £15,000.00, when he supplied the serial number of the unit he was meant to be buying it was one of our hire fleet units being used here in the UK.
My advice to all users of survey equipment is only purchase from Authorised Distributors/Resellers of equipment, most of us are listed on manufactures websites to this effect. Unless maybe it is a used instrument from a source you know and trust.

Re: Direct Survey Store
The Indonesian survey equipment scam has been alive and well for many years.

Re: Direct Survey Store
Clearly someone has spent serious time putting this scam together, we can have some fun with this!
Personally I've just ordered a serious basket full of bargain equipment, am I going to pay when I get the email asking me to transfer 100k to his account?? Pfft.
Also raised a complaint with the domain registrar and fired off a few abusive personal mails.
Feel free: [email protected]
I would target his merchant account but sadly, perhaps obviously, he doesn't even have one.
RIchard.
