Hi All,
Rookie user so please excuse basic questions.
I am wanting to export a 'cleaned' TrueView from Cyclone for clients to make mark ups.
As many of our sites are structures (e.g. bridges) in rural settings I am essentially wanting to strip out any vegetation to make the structure more visible for them. However it doesn't seem to matter which set of data I clean up/segment/select/create new modelspace of, it will always export the 'uncleaned' version to TrueView. Is this always the case? How can I just get it to just export what you see on screen!
So basic but I just cant seem to fathom it!
Any help much appreciated
Ali

I think you need to "Set Default Cloud". With Cyclone you never really delete any points, you just create various versions of the clouds in a sense. So you need to set the default cloud to use for publishing, export, etc.
Disclaimer: This is just my highly educated guess. Also, I don't know exactly "how" you set default cloud. Maybe someone else can confirm and provide exact details exact details. I am the product manager for Cyclone but not the most technical user.
I'll try to get someone to confirm and explain.

Bill is correct, sounds like you need to set the cleansed cloud as default. That can be found under Tools>Scanner>Set as Default Cloud. After you do this, open up the TruSpace for that ScanWorld and it should reflect your changes. You may need to go to File>Reset TruSpace for your changes to take effect. TruViews get published from the TruSpace, so what you see there is what will get published.
Hope this helps.

Re: Rookie TrueView User, Cyclone Exports
Hi Bill and David,
Thanks for your replies.
I have the option to set default clouds and so have done so. However I don't seem to be able to open any TruSpaces (the option is there but 'greyed out') and the option you suggested 'File>Reset TruSpace' doesn't appear to exist for me either. I am running 7.4.1.
Setting the default cloud appears to work for the site map but doesn't translate through to the scan positions which still include the full dataset.
Would you have any other suggestions?
Thanks
Ali

Once you have done the clean-up in the control space for each scan you can unify the data. Removing data only masks it - unifying goes one step further.
If you don't see that there is nothing, then you are kidding yourself.

Re: Rookie TrueView User, Cyclone Exports
hi,
only one question:
after cleaning data - it will be OK in TruVIew? (no black areas?)
Because cleaning will do this with RealView for ReCap.
(I did not try it in Cyclone, no need for cleaning/too lazy )
