Good day all,
Has anyone had any success in finding a way to embed a point cloud onto a webpage ?
Id like to put a few samples on my website but its proving difficult enough to make an interactive point cloud that I can have in a viewer and embed onto the page.
Can anyone point me in the right direction ?
Thanks alot

You can look at WebShare Cloud which is a commercial software that offers point cloud viewing (and many other things) in WebGL browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer 11 or newer).
Example:
https://websharecloud.com/?v=pv&t=p:def ... &p=funpark
https://websharecloud.com/?v=pv&t=p:def ... ychurch-v2
A free alternative is potree. You can use the forum search as there has been several discussions about it.

JWFARO,
Thanks for the reply, I am currently using potree and am happy with it, im just trying to find a way to have it embed onto a webpage rather than it being its own page if you get what I mean. Im sure there is a solution I just need to look harder

Re: Getting a point cloud onto a webpage
Search for iframes. This is a way to embed a complete website into another. The following code embeds WebShare Cloud as a 800x600 iframe:
Code: Select all
<iframe src="https://websharecloud.com/?v=ps&t=p:default,c:projectselector,m:t&ps=ps1&ps1=" width="800" height="600" frameborder="0"></iframe>
