Hello,
We just implemented a first basic level of transparent rendering in ScanSap, our 3D pointcloud software.
Here are some screenshots. We should be able to combine transparency with other rendering modes in the near future.
We plan to release a first minimum viable product in the spring of 2020. If you have any suggestion for features that would be essential for you, don't hesitate to contact us.

Re: ScanSap prototype - transparent rendering test
Hi,
Here's a small video of our transparency feature in ScanSap. Well, transparency already exists in several softwares, however it is a mandatory step for a point cloud solution.
Please note that for now, we don't decimate the scan at all during navigation, and we still get a smooth animation. FPS should increase a lot as soon as we will do a dynamic reduction.
Small additional info: the right panel shows the objects properties. Here you've got the scan properties. In case the input data are correctly structured, we can get information such as the serial number of the scanner.
