Hi,
Been trying to sort out this for quite a while now.
I need to import a cluster of points form a .txt or .dxf file in autocad and convert those points in a block with an attribute showing its level. I used to do this with autocad civil 3d quite easily with cogo points but now i need to find a way out of this with the normal version of autocad.
Any ideas please ?
Thanks
Clive

Some decades in the past I*ve written a small Lisp routine who can do that....insert manually the attached DWG into your file....load the lisp file...type in the command line (zblock)....then select the points to create the blocks showing the z-value....should work...

CadTools is a handy little program that runs alongside AutoCAD and interacts with it. There's a Draw From Coordinates routine that'll do what you want, and some.
Worth a look as there's a lot it can do and it's free! There are certain aspects of it that are locked out (can't remember what), but a donation to the author is all that's needed for full functionality.
