Second in the series of SCC automated extraction and analysis videos this time looking at rail. This includes creation of an initial rail alignment using a single rail, extraction with QA if the running edges and rail top, extraction of overhead lines, and height and stagger analysis on the OLE to plane of rail using all local high and low points on both conductors. The video finishes with extraction of a gantry, both as vectorized data and as an ortho image with world file.
Kinda pleased to squeeze this all in under five minutes! As always, delighted to hear any feedback, good or bad. The data used here was scanned using a terrestrial scanner. Plan is to put some examples of much larger mobile jobs up once I can get permission to use the data.

Re: Automated rail extraction
Sweat!!! Well done, Shane - I just had a look at your rail extraction tool and like it very much.
I'll forward the video to a client of ours. They do an awful lot in this field.
Cheers
Daniel
