Scan network planning

Post by davegrrr »

This screenshot shows how easy it is to create a 50-scan network using the new graphical scan editor in Vercator® and a very basic line drawing. The latest version also adds greater scan registration reliability and supports ZFS format too.

Does Vercator support closed loops? Typical real-world situations are for example connecting the inside and outside of a building through two or more doors, or connecting two floors of a building through stairways at both ends.

Hi Mika,

Yes the algorithm solves loops, however the definition of the network as setup by the user needs to be an open tree as illustrated in David's post. Ultimately we are working on automating this network creation away but it is not quite robust enough to put in to the product yet!
