Cheapest DIY scanner

Post by Faraz »

Ok, so you want to get into scanning but don't have a spare $100k+ or even $2-3k for a NextEngine. Well you can always build one yourself, and the software is free (or purchase for 49Euro)

Just don't let your client's know you built your own scanner :D

What type of laser are you going to use. Ive viewed the website and seen various setups and think the best location for the laser is below the camera or vice-verser.

Have you paid the 49 euro then for the shapefusion version. You will have to post a few pics and few words on just how you undertook this mini project.
