I am trying to put together a presentation that accurately highlights the benefits of laser scanning. I was curious what some of everyone else's thoughts were. Some of the main ones I see are.
- Less time in the field versus traditional methods. - Increased Safety
- All-encompassing data, large amounts of data surveyed in a short amount of time.
- Point cloud can be utilized for many different applications.

Re: Benefits to Laser Scanning
All these are true, but from a 30,000 ft view its a shift in how work can be done. Reality Capture allows the site to be understood remotely and digitally in ways that were not possible previously. Your design is now "real" and not simply an intention needed to be fit by workers onsite to the existing conditions.

The reduction of site visits is very important when the site is a remote and hazardous environment.
