Connecting Android to Faro Focus 3D x120

Post by CWickersham »

I'm currently having issues getting my android to device to connect with the Faro x120. I have downloaded the latest Flash Player for Android, and am using Dolphin Browser. The Android device connects to the Scanner but I get the message "Waiting for scanner data..." and a loading wheel. The scanner doesn't seem to be sending/receiving data to/from the phone. I can connect with a laptop and the issue seems to be fixed, but it would be nice if we could have connect with our phones.

Would be nice... wouldn't it!

Only advice I have... pick up a phone from 2010 or get used to lugging your laptop around. Officially the largest remote control ever! I had an old evo that worked great with the S-120, but had to replace it because of the limited memory. I tried dolphin browser, etc, etc... nothing worked on my Galaxy S6.

Let me know if you figure it out :D

In recent firmware there is an html5 page at /ui if I remember correctly.
This one should run on all phones.
In any case I had stability issues, and I'm working on a mechanical remote control.

You should be able to use 192.168.111.2:8400/ui/ with Google Chrome.

Awesome! This worked well enough to at least take scans. I can't seem to get it to deal with the popup menus like shut down scanner or keep or delete scans and such. (I've turned on pop ups and adjusted my settings) But regardless this is very helpful!

Hi,

I tried to access HTML ui with my BB mobile, but all I get is this screen. I had no luck with Nexus tablet either. Any idea what's gone wrong?
Thanks,
Jiri
