Re: New 3D scanner by Effortless 3D
Hi Richard
Thank you for posting some sample data... its the first time I've seen data from a full true 360 scanner!
It looks like we could do with a SketchFab plugin for posts too...
and is there any chance of the data in e57 format?
Thanks again

Re: New 3D scanner by Effortless 3D
can i know the sales roadmap of this new scanner? how long will it be available for purchase?e3dRich wrote:Hi all,
As promised, here is some sample data from the E3D prototype device - apologies in the delay getting this out to you all. The data consists of 5 scans captured in a hotel room, it's in binary .ply format as exported by CloudCompare.
You can download the file from here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/im4mwdw29vbih ... s.ply?dl=0
Or view it online at Sketchfab: https://skfb.ly/69IoS
Let me know what you make of the data.
Thanks,
Richard

Re: New 3D scanner by Effortless 3D
Awesome data set. I have some questions.
How long does a single scan take with Color?
How long does a single scan take without color?
How was this registered together?
