Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
Hi, I'm trying this for the first time with 4.0 fw, but also can't get it to complete. I've tried indoor and outdoor environments, but it continues to say the environment is not suitable.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
Has anyone figured out what causes the "unsuitable location" error when trying to use the Check & Adjust function?
Or to put it another way, can anyone shed more light on what type of space is best to run Check & Adjust in? Indoors tight quarters with low ceiling, indoor open space with high ceilings, outdoors with good geometries, etc...
When it fails it doesn't seem like any change in environmental condition will help, just fails repeatedly.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
If its anything like the Pxx check and adjust, it wont tell you what specifically is wrong with the setup(one of the parameters not met, eg vertical target not suitable). You have to recognise what is probably not suitable for the C&E routine and adjust your position accordingly. Try to push past the minimum distances specified.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
So I am having a similar issue. In multiple location inside and out I am receiving an hour. I too would appreciate the documentations. I have not found the docs on My World either. Thanks for any assistance.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
It's June 2023. We just picked up an RTC360 - MRF date JUN 2022. I am unable to get this to work also.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
We attempted this several times in and around our office with no luck. So we then sent one of the juniors out with the RTC to find somewhere and after several attempts, we have managed to find a location not far away that works really well.
The trick seems to be to have good geometry not just around you but also overhead. in our case, we had a pedestrian foot way surrounded by buildings that also went under a road I believe, so sticking the RTC just inside the overpass was the 'sweet spot'. We now send the RTC there at least once a month when we can to run the check and adjust.

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
Dude, please post a photo of the location so we can try to replicate ... This is crazy lol.
Or start renting the spot for the locals.

I have asked our surveyor to take a photo and I will post it up here.Augusto 3D wrote: ↑Fri Jul 07, 2023 2:28 pm Dude, please post a photo of the location so we can try to replicate ... This is crazy lol.

haha, I can rent it out sure, but you will require an indigo CCP at $7,000 plus you have to hand over your scanner for 9 weeks whilst it gets shipped to Disneyland. Oh, and a replacement will cost you $2,000 a week

Re: RTC360 Check and adjust
Phil,
Maybe you should just get Leica to post the documents and include the link.
I know on our Leica total station, the C&A procedure was available publicly.
just my 2 cents (now worh less than USD0.01 )

Interesting that your avatar is a Faro and not an RTC... tell us more. I wish both scanners would have a baby honestly. Get the speed from the RTC and the photos from the FARO. I am still undecided about which one produces better (cleaner) data. But for example, the FARO can do an on-site compensation and all it needs is a wall with some targets. RTC needs something similar and less dependent on the environment since their process is hit of miss.
